اليوم العالمى للمرأة

اليومُ العالميُّ للمرأةِ هو احتفالٌ عالميٌّ يحدثُ في اليومِ الثامنِ من شهرِ مارس / آذار من كلّ ِعام، ويُقامُ للدلالةِ على الاحترامِ العام وتقديرِ وحبِّ المرأةِ لإنجازاتِها الاقتصاديّةِ، والسياسيّةِ والاجتماعيّةِ، وفي بعضِ الدولِ كالصين وروسيا وكوبا تحصلُ النساءُ على إجازةٍ في هذا اليوم. وذلك بسببِ الاحتجاجاتِ التي أُقيمَت بواسطةِ النساءِ اللاتي أُجبرْن على العملِ تحت ظروفٍ لا إنسانيّة وقد عملَت الشرطةُ على تفريقِ المظاهراتِ وبالرغمِ من ذلك فقد نجحَت المسيرةُ في دفعِ المسؤولين والسياسيين إلى طرحِ مشكلةِ المرأةِ العاملة على جداولِ الأعمالِ اليوميّةِ لتبرزَ كقضيةٍ مُلحةِ لابدَّ من النظرِ فيها.  وقد تكرّرَ هذا المشهدُ في الثامنِ من مارس عام 1908 حيث عادَت الآلافُ من العاملاتِ للتظاهرِ من جديد في شوارعِ نيويورك وكانت تلك المسيرةُ قد طالبَت بتخفيضِ ساعاتِ العملِ ووقفِ تشغيلِ الأطفالِ ومنحِ النساء حقَّ الاقترانِ والمساواةِ في الحقوق، وبمرورِ عامٍ من التاريخِ نفسِه كانَ الاحتفالُ الأوّلُ بتلك الإحتجاجاتِ  في الثامنِ من مارس عام 1909 ومن ثَمّ اندفعَت إلى أنحاءِ أوروبا. أعتمدَت الأممُ المتحدةُ اليومَ العالميَّ للمرأةِ لأوّلِ مرةٍ عام 1977 ليتحوّلَ هذا التاريخُ إلى رمزِ نضالِ المرأةِ وحقوقها يُحتفل به سنويًا

  International Women's Day is a global celebration annually on the 8th of March, for public respect, appreciation, and love for women and to commemorate the culture, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women. Some countries, such as China, Russia and Cuba, women take leave on this day. This is because of protests by women who have been forced to work under inhumane conditions and the police have dispersed the demonstrations, yet the protests have succeeded in pushing officials and politicians to put the problem of working women on the daily agendas to stand out as an urgent issue to consider. 

      This scene was repeated on March 8, 1908, when thousands of female workers re-demonstrated on the streets of New York, calling for reduced working hours, stopping child labor and the granting of women the right to vote and equal rights. A year later, the first celebration of these women's protests was on March 8, 1909, and spread across Europe. The United Nations first adopted International Women's Day in 1977 to become the sign of women's struggle and rights celebrated annually.
